Automatic warehouses for tires, green tires and raw materials

Cassioli’s automated warehouses for the tire sector allow optimal use of space in production plants. Intensive tire storage, possible thanks to Cassioli’s automated warehouses, includes not only warehouses for finished tires, but also warehouses for raw materials, trays, drums, PCT bobbins, moulds and green tires.

Raw materials warehouse

The Cassioli raw materials warehouse is the ideal solution for storing raw materials in an orderly and functional manner, so that they are ready for transportation to the mixing area. The warehouse is equipped with one or more stacker cranes that allow optimal storage of raw materials and facilitate picking for subsequent processing phases. Our warehouse-control management system efficiently manages the entire process, with detailed cataloguing of materials handled and complete real-time traceability of inventory.

Trays Warehouse

Cassioli’s systems are also designed for handling and storage of specific trays for the production of the internal coating of tires. Cassioli’s automated tray warehouse guarantees low operating costs and quick access avoids waiting times during production, supporting a continuous workflow. As with the other automated warehouses, one or more stacker cranes will perform handling, storage and retrieval of the trays.

PCT Bobbin Warehouse

The PCT Bobbin warehouse is an automated warehouse for the storage of bobbins in which the rubber strips are coiled. The incoming material is, in fact, a reel containing a strip of rubber called a PCT (Pre-Cured Tread), with a layer of polythene between each coil, the “liner”, and loaded on a tray. Pallet and PCT are both identified by a barcode on the PCT reel. Cassioli offers complete automation technology for tire manufacturers, providing total control of material flow and accurate real-time data for production and inventory management.

Drums Warehouse

Automated warehouse and recovery system for drums on pallets. The Cassioli drums warehouse makes it possible to store drums rapidly, safely and efficiently before transfer to the Tire Building Machine for creation of high-quality tyres. The drums warehouse has one or more stacker cranes for easy handling of moulds, to store them and prepare them to be retrieved for the subsequent process stages. The Cassioli management system that controls the storage unit manages the flow of materials and ensures complete data management.

Green-Tire Warehouse

Cassioli’s Green-Tire warehouse is a fully customizable system, meaning that storage units can be arranged according to the specific needs and requests of the customer. The stacker cranes can move up to four tires at a time, but each fork is independent, so it can also work with batches of one. The greater loading and handling capacities, compared to manual storage systems, make these systems indispensable for specific industrial tire-production systems.

Green Tire Agro/OTR (Off The Road) Warehouse

Cassioli’s warehouses for heavy-tires for agricultural machinery allow practical, tidy and functional storage of large tires. The Cassioli automated warehouse for Agro Green Tire (AG Tire)/OTR (Off The Road) is equipped with one or more stacker cranes that allow the optimal storage of tires for tractors, tugs, construction machinery and much more, facilitating the storage and retrieval of the latter.

Moulds Warehouses

Cassioli moulds warehouses are automated warehouses for the storage and recovery of units composed of moulds and other parts (side walls) placed on metal pallets. These warehouses are equipped with one or more stacker cranes and a management system that allows the moulds to be stored, ordered and retrieved from storage and transported correctly to the curing press.

Finished-product warehouse

Once the pallet has completed with the tires, it is taken to the finished-product storage warehouse, which can reach a height of 40 metres. Finished tires have to be picked and delivered according to customers’ orders and at the right time: Cassioli’s automated warehouses make it possible to store tires and ensure they are easily accessible, ready for picking and shipment.
