Cassioli today celebrates an important milestone in collaboration with Bologna Guglielmo Marconi Airport: the inauguration of the new and expanded security screening area. We are proud to have contributed to this significant upgrade by supplying our advanced Fast2Check systems, with 18 new screening lanes installed.
The project, which doubled the area dedicated to security screening (from 1,170 to 2,200 sqm), aims to revolutionize the passenger experience, increasing the hourly capacity from 1,800 to an impressive 3,600 passengers. In this context, Cassioli’s Fast2Check systems play a crucial role.
Our Fast2Check ATRS (Automatic Tray Return System) systems are designed to optimize the flow of passengers and trays at the security checkpoints. Thanks to the automation of the empty tray return cycle and the ability for multiple passengers to simultaneously prepare their baggage for inspection, Fast2Check drastically reduces waiting times and improves ergonomics for security operators.
The implementation of our systems integrates seamlessly with the new EDS CB C3 scanners – the most advanced technology available today – allowing passengers to leave liquids and electronic devices inside their hand baggage during screening. The synergy between the C3 scanners and the logistical efficiency guaranteed by Cassioli’s Fast2Check is essential for achieving the goals of speed, security, and comfort set by Bologna Airport.
