CUSTOMER NEED

The client turned to Cassioli for the construction of a raw material warehouse dedicated to supplying its production lines. Cassioli provided an Automated Multi-Depth Warehouse for storing pallets of bags and big bags on slave pallets. The warehouse construction was designed to maximize storage capacity within the existing building. The project began with a statistical flow data analysis to size the system and a volume analysis to efficiently accommodate different product types and pallet dimensions. The storage structure and the stacker crane rail were specially developed with a set of adjustable base plates to compensate for any floor deformations or unevenness.

THE CASSIOLI SOLUTION

The Cassioli Multi-depth Automated Warehouse consists of an I-Crane stacker crane equipped with an ISAT Satellite, enabling intelligent multi-depth pallet storage. The system features an automatic entry point for pallet verification, equipped with dimensional control, weight checks, and barcode reading. Pallet entry and exit operations are fully automated, ensuring fluidity and reliability in the logistical process. The solution manages the storage of pallets containing bags and big bags, always placed on support pallets, complying with safety and stability standards. The shipping area includes an exit with an automatic shuttle responsible for supplying products to six picking bays; each bay is equipped with a monitor that guides the operator through the delivery path and product destination, increasing agility and reducing sorting errors. Empty pallets are returned automatically via a stacker integrated into the conveyors. The warehouse has a total capacity of 7,460 pallets, representing a robust and scalable solution for high volumes.
