Towards a Low-Emission Industry: Cassioli’s Journey to Reducing Climate Impact

In recent years, Cassioli has chosen to tangibly strengthen its commitment to transitioning toward a low-carbon industrial model. As a company active in the design and production of industrial automation systems and intralogistics solutions, we are aware of the responsibility our sector holds in the fight against climate change and the need to actively contribute to more sustainable development.

With this awareness, we have launched a structured process for measuring, managing, and reducing greenhouse gas emissions, with the technical-specialist support of Ollum, a consultancy firm specializing in sustainability and carbon management. The fundamental first step was the calculation of the Organization’s Carbon Footprint, carried out according to the GHG Protocol – Corporate Standard, one of the leading international references for climate emission reporting.

The analysis examined the entire 2024 calendar year and included direct emissions generated by our activities (Scope 1), indirect emissions related to purchased energy (Scope 2), and indirect emissions across the entire value chain (Scope 3). This comprehensive and rigorous approach has allowed us to obtain a clear, transparent, and measurable view of our climate impact, identifying key areas for intervention and the most effective levers for emission reduction.

The results of the 2024 inventory constitute our baseline, upon which our decarbonization plan is founded. Based on the findings, we have defined a roadmap of concrete actions aimed at energy efficiency, consumption optimization, the adoption of more sustainable technological solutions, and the progressive involvement of our supply chain in a shared journey toward emission reduction.

This project is not limited to a reporting exercise; it represents a strategic step in our journey of responsible growth and innovation. For us, reducing carbon emissions and integrating sustainability into industrial choices means strengthening long-term competitiveness, creating value for our customers and stakeholders, and contributing in a concrete and measurable way to the ecological transition.
