SITE MANAGER

WE ARE LOOKING FOR A SITE MANAGER (M/F) FOR MAIN ACTIVITY IN AMIENS (FRANCE)

Description

  • The Site manager is the professional figure who is responsible for coordinating and controlling construction site activities and anticipating needs in time.
  • It also takes care of compliance with the basic safety standards. He mainly works in teams at the installation site.
 

What does he/she do

  • Plans and coordinates daily all site activities, ensuring that these are carried out as planned by the Project manager and on schedule
  • Manages the workers, the lifting equipment and the procurement of materials with the person in charge (intended as confirmation of shipments scheduled by the headquarters and local needs)
  • Supervises the assembly activity on site carried out by suppliers and subcontractors with the person in charge
  • Produces documentation on the work done on site
  • Verify compliance with workplace safety and prevention regulations
  • Manages the morning meeting on site and informs the customer about daily and weekly activities.
  • Coordinates local supplies and turnkey installations of external companies
  • Control and compliance with labor costs, vehicles, outsourcing.
  • Manages the site warehouse with the person in charge
  • Handles emergencies

Technical skills

  • Knowledge of safety regulations
  • Knowledge of standards and procedures for installation and testing of systems
  • Basic knowledge of the equipment and machinery present on site
  • Knowledge and ability to apply management control and project management techniques
  • Ability to read accurately the technical projects (plant layout)
  • Ability to use the main computer tools and programs (project, autocad, excel)

Training

Degree in Management/Mechanical/Industrial Engineering or Technical High School Diploma with equivalent work experience at Engineer level.

How and where does he/she work?

The Site Manager brings out his profession at the plant installation site as a contact person for the project manager.

He/she relates with the PM, the supervisors, the customer, the workers, the subcontracted companies, local suppliers.

Languages

Minimum B2 French, ideally C1 or native speaker

English B1 minimum

  • Willingness to communicate despite language barriers

Mobility and travel

  • Willingness to travel, transfer periods (6+ months/year), 1 year minimum in Amiens, returns to be agreed.
  • Driving license B

How to enter the company and future outlets

The site manager joins the company with a period of support in the workshop/other construction sites, to then spend a period working alongside the project managers.

Future outlet based on personal propensity to become Project manager.
