For every new CASSIOLI line, we conduct a detailed analysis of the assembly flow in order to identify key aspects of the process.
We assign functions to each workstation by aggregating different basic operations, while taking into account the expected line productivity goals, workstation flexibility and compactness, the automation specifics of each stage of the operation, and the coordination of the entire line.
Our process analysts collaborate with clients to streamline operations using LEAN flow principles, providing partial or total parallelization of assembly processes. Frequently we discover that individual stations are complete and operational from a functional perspective, but the entire line fails to achieve production goals. But, through our collaborative process, we are able to help clients determine the right trade off between the flexibility typical of parallel systems (ability to specialize lines, reduction of set-up time, greater production flexibility and operational reliability) and the waste related to replicated devices (increased area requirements, more complex handling systems, greater stock levels in workstations , or increased flow of material supply).
