LIGNA HANNOVER is the international hub of the woodworking and wood processing industries and hence integral to knowledge transfer and networking. The fair's impressive array of specialized, user-oriented presentations, seminars, symposiums, international contact exchanges and conferences further underscores its standing as the leading international event for the forestry and wood industries.
CASSIOLI, that offers a wide range of plant engineering solutions, will be highlighting what it calls an exclusive automatic storage system. The FAST (Furniture Automatic Storage) system is claimed to represent a genuine innovation in the sector, with a new holding device and a sophisticated operational methodology allowing for performances unobtainable with traditional stacker crane systems. As is explained, in comparison with pallet warehouses, the solution does away with the need for stacking objects on pallets and successively singling them out.

Turkey, strategically located at the center of Eurasia, offers direct access to developing economies in South East Europe, Middle East and Central Asian Republics. This country is becoming one of the most important and growing markets in Eurasia. In the first four months of 2007 it marked a growth of 6.7%, stimulated by a sensible increment in credit and consumer goods demands, which in turn result from average income doubling in just five years. This fact is due to excellent exports performance and incoming foreign capital as well. Also, the economic growth of the country was produced by important structural reforms and an aggressive privatization program, in the last years. It should be underlined that the sensible increase in industrial production, by 5.3% in the first quarter of 2007, was pushed by industrial sectors such as automotive, packaging, textile and the "white" industry.
In this growth context CASSIOLI, as in past years, has confirmed its presence to WIN Turkey - World of Industry 2008.
